Newcastle locals are preparing to celebrate Australia Day in style with a popular annual cruise returning to the city in January.
The four-hour event will be hosted by All Event Cruises and held aboard the MV Calmer.
The vessel offers expansive deck spaces and indoor lounge rooms, which will allow for stunning, panoramic views of the Newcastle Harbour.
Attendees will enjoy the idyllic coastal scenery as they sample a chef-prepared menu, have a drink or two, and savour the festive spirit.
The special Australia Day buffet menu will feature roast chicken, varied salads, vegetarian pasta, and fresh tiger prawns.
Food will be served alongside a specially selected Australia Day soundtrack, which will provide entertainment for the evening.
