The Milwaukee Art Museum's ‘Kandinsky: a Retrospective’ exhibition will be closing early in September.
The works featured in the exhibition are on tour from the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and is curated by Angela Lampe and Brady Roberts. The included works were items the artist Wassily Kandinsky considered to be his favorites, and ones that he had kept for himself. They were donated to the gallery by his wife after his death. Over 100 paintings, drawings, and other pieces are on display, including a mural that has never been seen in the United States before. The exhibition covers his entire career from the early 1900s up to the 1940s, and features many different styles, such as impressionism and Bauhaus.
Related to the exhibition, an Express Talk will take place at the museum on August 28th at 12:00pm. This free tour will last 30 minutes.
No doubt people will travel from all over the area, including nearby Greenfield, to catch this unique exhibition before it closes. Advertising may include items obtained from local Print companies, such as Flyers or Brochures.
