Womens ball to celebrate Asian Pacific Islander community

The Greenfield area should note that the 4th Annual Asian Pacific Islander Women's Ball will be held in Milwaukee next month to celebrate the Asian Pacific Islander community, specifically the women who have built and strengthened the community.

The Women’s Ball is organized by the Hmong American Women’s Association (HAWA), which was founded in 1993 to advocate for and promote the issues of local Hmong women and their families. Last year’s Women’s Ball honored 50 years of Hmong and Southeastern Asian refugees, shining light on their courage and sacrifices in building a new life and community in America.

This year, the ball’s theme is Momentum: Women Building Community Power, which highlights the activism and organizing by the mothers, sisters, and aunts of the community. The event will feature a marketplace, silent auction, performances, live DJ, and special guest speakers. A cocktail hour will be held before dinner and the program commences.

Organizers of community galas like this may get the word out by designing and printing colorful Posters that can be displayed in the community. Local Print shops with the necessary poster printing services can be useful resources for organizers involved in this.

The 4th Annual Asian Pacific Islander Women's Ball is slated for Saturday, May 30 from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It will be held at Pearl & Cade at 219 North Milwaukee Street, Milwaukee, just a few miles from Greenfield.
