Greenfield’s artistic community has been invited to take advantage of a chance to showcase their works to the public as part of an event coming this spring.
Henry Miller Park, which can be found right next to Oak Creek High School, will be the location for the 4th annual ‘Art in the Park’ day, and it is estimated that it will attract a crowd that numbers in the thousands. Last year, 90 artists participated, and the organizers are hoping that 2019 will top this number.
The planners are accepting applications from any artists or craftspeople who would be interested in setting up shop for the occasion. It will have a high-energy and welcoming atmosphere that will give those who participate a chance to build connections with other artists, as well as the local community. All creators are welcome to submit an application, and the organizers noted that they are especially interested in hearing from those who are “working with and creating non-traditional artwork”.
This sort of occasion can both give creative types a chance to showcase their work and also help to develop an appreciation of art among young people. If they have a pop-up banner made by a banner printing company, the participants can use it during this type of function and then fold away for storage until they need to use it again.
The final date to apply to be a part of ‘Art in the Park’ is May 12, and the function itself will take place on May 25. The registration fee is $50.
