Greenfield to host free health event

The Philippine Cultural and Civic Center will soon be holding its third annual Community Health Fair.

The event promises fun for kids and a large number of health services for families, as well as educational materials, which are likely to keep local brochure printers very busy.

The event strikes a balance between information and fun, offering free health screenings for conditions such as diabetes, asthma, breast cancer, hypertension, and allergies, alongside games for the kids, karaoke, balloon making, face painting, and tai chi. Some dental screenings and sports and school physicals are also being provided for those who pre-register.

A large amount of effort is being devoted to education at the Health Fair. Booths are already planned for ‘Healthy Lifestyle and Health Education’ by the local health department, ‘Safety Education’ by the fire department, and ‘Fingerprint Kits’ by the police department. Informative Brochures and educational materials on a multitude of health issues will also be provided by the students of the Medical College of Wisconsin.

With more events, exhibits, and fun being added every day, banner printing companies in the Greenfield Area are likely to see a large swell in business between now and the event.

It all takes place at Zablocki Park located on Howard and 37th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Anyone interested in more information should visit the event’s website.
