An upcoming event will help educate and answer questions that local seniors may have.
The interfaith organization Milwaukee County Department on Aging and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program are teaming up to bring Greenfield’s elderly population the presentation Healthy Living for Brain and Body.
The presentation is part of the Greenfield Senior Ambassador Program, a comprehensive program meant to assist seniors and retirees in the many life changes they are dealing with, and the services that can help them improve their quality of life. As part of it, ambassadors are available twice a month to meet one-on-one with seniors and their care providers, offering advice on mental and physical healthcare, transportation, living arrangements, and more.
The presentation on Healthy Living for Brain and Body will be given by Virginia Zerpa of the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin. She will offer advice on living with Alzheimer's and other Forms of dementia that goes beyond what can be found out in Brochures as well as tips on maintaining a healthy lifestyle both mentally and physically. She will be available afterwards to answer questions.
The Healthy Living for Brain and Body presentation will be given on February 3 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Greenfield Public Library, located at 5310 W.
