Greenfield locals to feature in summer theatre production

The Greenfield Community Theatre’s summer production of Les Misérables will feature performances from Greenfield residents such as Patrick Jones as Combeferre, Mike Jones as Courfeyrac, and Benjamin Bedroske as a constable.

Les Misérables is a classic play set in France during the 19th Century. The musical follows the life of Jean Valjean, who has just been released from serving a prison sentence for a crime that he did not commit. His new life on the outside is fraught with danger, a love interest, and numerous other challenges as he goes on the run, with police inspector Javert chasing him down.

Brochure printing for this local production of the smash Broadway hit shows that the production will be on from July 25 to August 3 at the Greendale High School on 6801 Southway. On July 28, the show will begin at 2:00 pm, while the curtain goes up at 7:30 pm on all the other dates.

Students can purchase tickets at $12 while adults will pay $15. Patrons can buy their tickets at the door an hour and a half before the show starts or they can pass by the offices of the Greendale Park and Recreation Department if they wish to buy tickets in advance. Tickets are also available online from at the theater’s website, where more information about the show can also be found.

Les Misérables was on Broadway for over 16 years and won an Academy Award for its movie adaptation.
