Greenfield festival to trot into fall

Next month, Greenfield will welcome the fall season with a fall festival as well as the Annual Trick-or-Trot Run/Walk.

Every year the City of Greenfield Parks and Recreational Department holds the Trick-or-Trot Run/Walk in the morning before the fall festival. The run/walk will be separated into two routes, the Monster mile route, which is approximately one mile long, and the Tombstone Two, which is approximately two miles long. There will be various fun Halloween-themed activities along each route, including I Spy the Pumpkin and trick-or-treating.

After the run/walk, participants will be welcomed to join the fall festival at Konkel Park. The festival will feature fun, family-friendly activities such as pumpkin bowling, face painting, and carnival games. There will also be inflatables, animal balloons, glitter tattoos, and a haystack. Children and adults alike are encouraged to come dressed in the favorite Halloween consumes and compete in the costume contest. There will also be an all-ages pie eating contest.

Festivals are often advertised in Flyers handed out in the community to drum up interest. Organizers that choose this advertising method may visit local Print shops that offer flyer printing services.

The Greenfield fall festival and run/walk is scheduled for October 1. Both events will take placket at Konkel Park on 5151 W. Layton Avenue. The festival entry is free, but the run/walk registration ranges from $15 to $25.
