Childrens author to conduct signing in Greenfield

The younger members of Greenfield will be eagerly anticipating the upcoming Meet Dav Pilkey book signing.

Sponsored by Boswell Book Company and the Greenfield School District, the event will introduce children to a new book series while giving them the chance to meet and interact with the writer.

Dav Pilkey is probably best known for his ‘Captain Underpants’ series of Books. The series features 12 entries as well as numerous spinoff and activity Books, with over 70 million total Books sales worldwide. He is also known for the Dumb Bunnies and Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot. For the event, Pilkey is introducing a brand new book, titled ‘Dog Man’. The story follows a half dog, half man police officer who solves mysteries and fights crime, and is suitable for children in upper elementary school or early middle school.

The event will feature Pilkey talking about his new book, with a small Q & A at the end. Afterwards, a signing will be held. The Print company will have Copies of the new book on hand for purchase, but children can feel free to also bring a book from home. Due to time constraints, only one book per person will be signed, and no personalizations will be added. If enough time is left when the signing begins, the author will add one drawing to each book.

The signing will take place on Monday, October 24 at 6:30 pm at the Greenfield Performing Arts Center, located at 4800 S. 60th St. Attendance to the event is free. Anyone interested in more information should contact the school district or the Boswell Book Company.
