The 5th annual Grand Slam Charity Jam is being held this March, and is a fundraising event for Camp Hometown Heroes.
The main event of the evening will be a concert by Kool and the Gang, and those who would prefer to may buy tickets for the concert only.
This event tends to sell out every year, and those who are interested are encouraged to get their tickets as soon as possible. VIP guests will enjoy a cocktail party with champagne and a gourmet dinner. They can also bid on 200 items in silent and live auctions, and there are expected to be appearances by several celebrities.
Last year's Jam raised over $121,000 for Camp Hometown Heroes. The organization provides services for children between the ages of 7 and 17 who have lost a parent in the military. This includes a summer camp, counselling, and support.
No doubt many of the auction items will be donated by businesses from all over the area, including Greenfield. Local Print companies may be asked to provide signage at the event to recognize the donors.
