Bastille Day celebrations come to Wisconsin

The Bastille Days Celebration is taking place over four days this July in Milwaukee, which is to be presented by the East Town Association.

There will be lots of events taking place every day that are sure to please the entire family, including the Storm the Bastille Run or Walk, which usually attracts 5,000 runners each year. There will also be Mardi Gras parades, a race for waiters and waitresses, and a Kid's Day. The last one is set to feature a French-themed breakfast, soccer drills, and ballet lessons.

The area will be decorated with a 43-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower. Meanwhile, buskers will be strolling around and there will be all kinds of entertainment on four stages. Among the musical artists who will be performing are Alvar Pearls, the Rockin' Pinecones, and the Tinker Boys.

In addition, there will be a marketplace with over 90 vendors plus 25 area restaurants, with most of the food to be French or Cajun inspired.

Visitors from all around the area, including from nearby Greenfield, will probably make their way to the festival for at least one day. To ensure that as many people know about it as possible, local printing companies may have provided Flyers to be distributed.

Bastille Days will be held at Cathedral Square Park from July 9th to 12th, with admission free of charge. Call 414-271-1415 for more information.
