Hudson course builds better babysitters

Babysitting gives young people a chance to earn some extra money while learning basic business management skills, and Hudson youth who would like to get started are encouraged to register for an upcoming event.

Aimed at those ages of 10 to 13, the Babysitting 101 short course will give them skills and knowledge that can come in handy when it comes to running their business. It will follow currently accepted practices, and it will be on offer in room 132 at Hudson Middle School.

The attendees in the session will learn the basics of caring for young children, and topics such as injury prevention, basic first aid and CPR, feeding and care for infants, and how to handle problem behaviours The principles of small business management that may be helpful to them will also be covered, and everyone is asked to bring a water bottle snacks, lunch and materials for jotting down any notes they wish to keep.

Along with the information, each attendee will curve Copies of handouts as well as a reference book, first aid kit and babysitting bag. Training manuals and other publications can be prepared for an event by a brochure printing company that offers comb and other binding services.

Hudson’s future babysitters will be able to hit the ground running, thanks to this course scheduled for June 24th. It will run from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.
