Locals to enjoy a taste of Washington State
Taste Washington is taking place for four days beginning at the end of this month.
The festival is set to showcase over 225 wineries and more than 70 restaurants in the Seattle area. Several events are planned that should appeal to almost everyone.
It will start off with the Red and White Party at Aqua by El Gaucho on March 31 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Guests will enjoy wine tastings and food from Chef Wesley Hood. Tickets are $175 each.
The next day is Taste Washington on the Farm from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Tickets are still available for the Urban Farming package, through which guests will visit the Tilth Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands. Once there, they will enjoy the food of chefs Maria Hines and Tamara Murphy, sample wine tastings, and listen to a talk by Amy Pennington. Tickets are $85.
April 2 and 3 will feature seminars at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle and Grand Tastings at CenturyLink Field Event Center. It is possible that some of the wineries will be providing promotional drinkware for some of the Seattle residents who sample their wines.
Tickets for the Grand Tastings are $90 or $160 for VIP, while two-day passes for the festival cost $150 and $205. For more information on any of the events, call 206-461-5804.
