Middle and High School Art Show and Teen Night
On Friday, April 13th, 2012, the Naramore 2012 Middle & High School Art Show will be hosting their opening celebration at the Seattle Art Museum located at 1300 First Avenue in Seattle, Washington. This event will take place in the Simons Boardroom between 6pm and 7pm. A student event will follow the show for students and local teenagers to see works in the SAM's special exhibition galleries and permanent collection.
The public is invited to attend the opening of the Naramore 2012 Middle & High School Art Show to view the extraordinary artworks that will be on display at SAM's Downtown Core from the opening until May 27th. On the 13th, there will be an opening speech and awards presented at around 6:30pm with the students invited to stay on afterwards to mingle with guests and discuss their works and creation methods.
Guests will have the opportunity to speak with each artist, and view the various mediums present, including watercolor, oil, acrylic, ink, and mixed in both realism and abstract presentations. After this event, there will be a teen night, for teens only, featuring live music, tours of the galleries, and art-making activities. This night promises to be fun for all the teens in attendance.
The students will likely have spoken with local print companies for poster printing, banner printing and to make labels and displays for this event. Local printing companies are a great support for events such as these, ensuring all stationery printing is taken care of. This opening event is free to the public, and the teen night is free to students of this art showcase. For additional information, please visit the Seattle Art Museum’s website or call them.
