Boat show to promote dreams of the summer to come
The Seattle Boat Show is returning to the city for nine days beginning at the end of this month.
Often said to be the largest boat show in the West, there are expected to be over 1,000 watercraft in the show including paddleboats, luxury yachts, kayaks and fishing boats. There will also be over 225 seminars in the boating, fishing and Boat Show University categories.
There will be two special events taking place during the show. Uncorked on January 26 from 5:00 to 8:30 PM will feature tastings of West Coast wines. Tickets are $30 each and include six wine-tasting tokens and a souvenir wine glass. Sails and Ails on February 2, also from 5:00 to 8:30 PM, will feature 10 beer tasting stations from artisan breweries. The $30 ticket includes six tasting tokens and a souvenir beer glass.
Other activities include a career fair for the recreational marine industry, a First Mate tailgate party, a dominoes toppling demonstration, a Kids’ Aqua Zonem and boat tours.
The show will no doubt be widely advertised in the Seattle area, possibly using products obtained from local poster printing firms.
The Seattle Boat Show will be held at CenturyLink Field from January 26 to February 3. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for youth between the ages of 11 and 17. A $40 pass is also available for nine days. Call 206-381-7555 to learn more.
