The Meadowlark Botanical Gardens Visitor Center in Vienna will hold an educational activity in September about the meadow habitat.
The Amazing Meadow is an activity for preschoolers and their parents where they can learn about the wonders of nature in a safe and fun environment. The program will keep kids engaged through songs, crafting activities, and a discovery walk through the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens' meadow maze. The activity will expose children to the plants and animals in a meadow habitat. The event is part of the Preschool Nature Nuts series.
The Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is comprised of over 70 acres of land that were donated to the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority in 1980. Guests can explore several attractions throughout the gardens, including the Bonsai Pavilion, the Children's Garden Picnic Pavilion, and the Korean Bell Garden. The park also offers programs like the Roving Naturalist Program and Camp Grow. The venue's visitor center has a gift shop and restrooms.
The meadow-themed activity will be held on Thursday, September 26th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The intended age range for the event is for kids 2-4. Tickets to the program will cost $10 per child plus a $3 transaction fee. All participants must register for the activity by September 25th. Local gardens that host similar events to this may use poster printing to share their educational experiences with more families.
