Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir will be holding an album release party in February at Jammin’ Java in Vienna.
Music fans are invited to help Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir celebrate their newest album release. The group blurs the lines between genres and is self-described as a country band that does not play country music. Jon Tyler Wiley is the band’s songwriter, lead guitarist, and producer. Wiley has nearly a decade of experience as a musician who played for famous performers such as Sister Hazel, Stephen Kellogg, and Melodime.
The group was formed by Wiley in 2009 and has created several original songs, including Laredo Texas Oil Well Blues, Just Another Heartbreak Song, and Cake. The music played by the band is influenced by acts like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. They have also performed at Wisconsin’s Mile of Music festival and The Rock Boat. The group even covered I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day for the Rock by the Sea’s 11th annual charity Christmas album. Performers like this can market themselves to local venues with flyer printing.
The release party will be on Friday, February 25th and will begin at 8:00 pm. General admission to see the band will cost $15. Those who want to sit in a raised area with a dedicated server can pay $25 for premier plus tickets.
