Manassas Museum Lawn, 9101 Prince William Street will be inundated with kids and Vikings during two events scheduled for May.
Manassas Viking Festival will be back again on Saturday, May 8 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. The free event will feature Viking re-enactments including battles, Nordic sheep and horses, and a dog show.
Live music and over 70 artists and craftspeople will be on site. These people usually come to events like this well supplied with Business Cards in case any passers-by wish to contact them afterward.
A Viking village will be the location of the demonstrations about daily Viking life and battle re-enactments, while the Viking Festival will take place on International Viking Day, which is Saturday, May 8 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.
On International Kids Day, which is celebrated over the May 22 and 23 weekend, the annual KidsFest Spring Fair will be in full bloom on the Museum Lawn.
Local children can enjoy carnival activities, games, and inflatables. The venue will also have food plus arts and crafts vendors and live entertainment.
Local, regional, and corporate exhibits will provide up-to-date information, services and products that are available for Manassas area parents, teachers and childcare providers.
Admission to the festival will be free but some activities will require additional charges. Event hours will be 11:00 am until 6:00 pm.
