Manassas supports Mason School of Dance

The Mason School of Dance will be holding is premiere performance and fete toward the end of the month.

The evening will begin with a wine, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts reception. There will be dance showcases, after which patrons can mingle with the faculty, dance students, and choreographers to discuss the choreography and other performance features.

The Gala concert will include ‘Mass’ choreographed by Doug Varone, ‘Flesh’ by Ivan Perez, ‘Within Reach’ by YinYue and ‘Brahms Symphony’ by Lar Lubovitch. Proud parents of these talented student dancers will no doubt be getting pictures of them performing for later poster printing.

Proceeds from both the gala and the concerts will go toward School of Dance student scholarships.

The 2018 Mason School of Dance Gala and Concert are scheduled for March 24th. The reception, dance showcases and meet and greet will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Rooms A305 and A 307 in the DeLaski Performing Arts Building at George Mason University, Fairfax campus.

The Dance Gala Concert will begin at 8:00pm in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall on Friday, March 23rd and 24th on the Fairfax campus.

For those of us here in Manassas, there will be a repeat performance of the Gala concert at the Hylton Performing Arts Center 10960 George Mason Circle, at 4:00pm on Sunday, March 25th. Tickets for this performance will range from $10 for groups; $15 for students, seniors, and staff; and $25 for everyone else.
