Chantilly to celebrate Earth Day in historic park

Fairfax County is hosting an Earth Day Festival in Chantilly this spring.

Earth Day Fairfax will include a mix of educational activities and entertainment. The main stage will feature three musical acts and an Earth Day proclamation. There will be a selection of food vendors, including craft beers from Ono Brewing Company. Attendees can meet animals from Frying Pan Farm Park, look at insects under a microscope and complete crafts like birdhouse painting and making play dough from locally milled grain.

The event is also intended to help attendees learn more about the environment, ways to live more sustainably and ways to spend time outdoors. Experts will be available to discuss topics like gardening techniques, composting methods and the best places for boating in the area. Organizations often use brochure printing services to share educational information.

The festival is free to attend, but parking costs $10 per car. This can be paid at the gate with cash or a credit card. A sensory tent will be available for those who need to take a break in a quieter space. The stage schedules and a full list of activities and vendors are available on the Fairfax County website.

The 2025 Earth Day Festival will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 10 am to 4 pm at Sully Historic Site in Chantilly.
