On the Alamo Drafthouse website, the company has announced the planned reopening of its theater in Richardson, which is expected to take place in June 2021.
In March 2020, the movie theater chain closed down the location, along with others, as a result of the pandemic. In August, the Richardson location opened for a few months but in early October it closed again. According to CEO Bill Digaetano in a statement last October 7, the decision for the second closing was due, he said, to an absence of new movie releases.
Already Drafthouse has opened several theaters in Houston, San Antonio and Austin; however, the theater here is anticipated to be among the first of the chain in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to reopen. Other locations to open in June for Drafthouse include Lake Highlands and the Cedars; while July is scheduled to see Alamo theaters in Las Colinas, Denton and North Richland Hills opening.
Poster printing services offer an effective means for theaters to communicate information to the large number of people passing through.
The theater chain will be enacting safety precautions such as automatically including two “buffer seats” around ticket purchasers to give a minimum of six feet between patrons. The Menus will offer fewer food and drinks choices, as well as a contactless experience option for those who order food.
The Richardson Alamo Drafthouse’ location contains seven auditoriums and an occupancy maximum capacity of 825 patrons.
