This month, teens in Plano will have the opportunity to enroll in a mobile app development technology workshop.
The ‘Teen Tech’ workshop is open to individuals in sixth grade up to seniors. During the class, students will learn how to create an app. Through lectures and hand-on lessons, participants can go home with the knowledge to produce more complicated apps. To make the most of this opportunity, students will need to take along a laptop, charger, and, if possible, an Android device.
Registration will begin two weeks before the workshop, and, the class will be capped at 20. In order to keep a spot in the class, participants should arrive early and check into the workshop.
The program is one of many offered at the Davis Public Library. Along with various story times, the library has science and technology-themed classes. There are robotic classes for adults, kids, and families. Computer programming and family science events are two other choices.
In order to promote the ‘Teen Tech’ workshop, the library could use a flyer printing service. The handout could be placed on bulletin boards or distributed near the doorway, and could include times, dates, and a class summary.
This introductory workshop will begin on September 14 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Additional sessions will take place on October 26, November 16, and December 14.
The Davis Library is located at 7501 Independence Parkway.
