New drivers in Plano are encouraged to participate in an event that its organizers hope will give them the information they need to make safe driving choices.
The Reality Education for Drivers (RED) course is being hosted by the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. It focuses on safe driving, the importance of wearing a seatbelt, and avoiding the danger of distracted driving. It does this through a variety of methods, including multimedia presentations, class discussions, and it also includes a special tour of the hospital’s trauma center.
The course also contains a special section for parents and guardians to help provide them with the tools they need to further talk about the subject with the teen drivers in their families. Along with this, they will receive tools that they can take home with them to help them to do so effectively. Each teen will receive a certificate of completion for the course. Items like these can be prepared by a Stationery printing company.
The RED workshop will take place on October 15 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at 6200 W Parker Rd. There is no charge to participate, but space is limited. Those who are interested in taking part are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
More information and an opportunity to register are available on the RED Eventbrite listing.
