Plano residents asked to become secret Santas this holiday season

The holidays can be a really special time of the year, but for Plano families in need, it is not always so merry. Their neighbors who would like to extend a helping hand have been given an easy way of doing so, and this annual initiative is currently accepting donations.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree will be set up in the Grand Court of The Shops at Willow Bend, right across from Neiman Marcus, and shoppers can stop by and choose the name of a child who could use a little bit of holiday cheer. A printing services supplier’s graphic design team can craft special paper decorations for this sort of event, and these can be printed with the name of each boy or girl registered with the program.

Once a member of the public has selected a name, they will be invited to become a Santa’s Helpers and do some shopping for toys and other treats. This sort of activity can be a great idea for those who love to shop and are looking for an excuse to partake in some retail therapy. The tree will be standing from November through the first week of December so that everyone who would like to get involved is able to do so.

This year’s Plano Salvation Army Angel Tree will be spreading some holiday cheer from November 1 until December 8. Those who have questions about the program have been asked to call 214-635-3000.
