Plano plans lunch and learn culinary demo

Honey is a popular ingredient used in dishes prepared all over the world, and a Plano workshop will explore a diverse range of types and flavors of this sweet treat.

Those 18 and up are invited to sit in on a lunch and learn event organized by Central Market Plano. It is planned for midday at the start of the business week, and it will include fast-paced cooking demonstrations by culinary instructors.

Participants will be able to sit back and watch the chef prepare the meal. While they do, they will learn how different honeys can have different flavors, and how these often depend on the flowers the bees used to make it. Everyone will have the chance to taste test the three dishes on the menu, and all participants have been asked to arrive five minutes early so they can get checked in.

A cookery class or demonstration provides a fun way for home cooks to pick up some new skills. Printed recipe cards and other materials for a workshop can be ordered from area stationery printers.

This lunch and learn session that will explore the world of honey will be running from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Monday, January 20. The location is situated at 320 Coit Road, and tickets to attend are $35 each.
