Plano officer performs heroics

An officer from Plano recently stepped in to help save the life of a small baby.

Five-month-old Omar Arroy and his mother were enjoying a carnival when the young child stopped breathing. His mother called out for help, Officer Tony Vidmar, who was on hand working security for the event, heard the cry and saw a woman come running towards him with a baby in distress.

Officer Vidmar admitted he was terrified, but knew he had to act fast. He knew how to do CPR on an infant, and he began to perform it, hoping that the young life would hold on. A crowd gathered around the pair to cheer him on, and baby Omar opened his eyes. At that point, Officer Vidmar felt a huge sense of relief.

His quick thinking and knowledge of what to do saved a life. A brochure printing company can produce instructional pamphlets that let the public know what to do in such an emergency.

Though this recuse was over, it would not be the last time the two would meet. The infant was taken to the hospital for testing, and was found to be healthy and able to go home. Officer Vidmar stopped by to pay him and his family a visit, and brought along a bag of toys. His mother noted that she will always be grateful to him for what he did to save her son’s life.
