The city of Plano recently received some news that adds another feather to its cap.
WalletHub released its list that ranks communities across the country from the best to the worst when it comes to finding a job, and Plano excelled. It was designated as being the best city for those who are seeking employment.
WalletHub compared 150 of the cities across the country that have the largest populations, using 17 different key metrics to do so. These included factors such as projected employment growth and current job opportunities.
Plano scored highly in the “job market” category, as well as other areas such as annual median income. This all came together to help to put it at first place.
Along with major corporate headquarters such as Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut, and J.C. Penny, the city will soon be home to a new Toyota plant and the huge Legacy West development. It things like this that should help it remain at or near the top when it comes to finding a job. As well as Plano, there were 16 other Dallas-Fort Worth area cities that earned a high place on the list. These included Arlington, Dallas, Garland, Irving, and Grand Prairie.
