A handheld version of an American dessert favorites will be prepared as part of a Plano cookery class early next month.
Central Market Cooking School in Plano will be celebrating Independence Day with a workshop that will prepare crisp, cobble, and hand apple and blueberry pies using traditional recipes. It will be held in time for July 4, and full instruction will be supplied.
Participants will be walked through the steps of preparing and rolling out the dough used for the crust for the blueberry hand pies, and this will be followed by crafting a berry-topped cobbler. Gluten-free apple crisp will round out the menu.
Ticketholders will be working in small groups. The session is for those age 13 and up only, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets start at $89.63.
A cookery class offers the opportunity to learn new kitchen techniques, and it may also be a lot of fun. Recipe cards and sheets, printed aprons, and other items for a cooking workshop can be ordered from area Print shops and embellished with a stylish logo or design.
This opportunity to learn how to prepare three different desserts that have become American favorites will get started at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 3. The location for the class can be found at 320 Coit Road.
