There are many ways that an individual can take charge of their health, and in Plano, one of these will be to take a seat in an upcoming heart health workshop.
“Leap for Life”, which is on offer this fall, will provide the attendees with an assortment of knowledge and other tools they can use to keep their heart healthy for a long time to come. The tips will be actionable and include advice that can be helpful to just about anyone.
The class will open with a discussion of heart anatomy, and from there, it will move on to how cardiovascular disease can begin and progress. There will be a discussion of medications that are used to treat these illnesses as well as their side effects, and from there, the focus will shift to preventative measures such as following a healthy diet and exercise program. The workshop will wrap up with advice for managing stress, and it's highly recommended by the team at Baylor Scott and White The Heart Hospital.
This learning opportunity is free to attend, and lunch is included. Arming each person who takes part in this sort of function with a “heart health kit" filled with publications that focus on cardiovascular issues will provide them with even more information, and brochure printing companies will be able to supply a variety of materials that can be used in this way.
Leap for Life is scheduled to be offered on October 22nd, and it will start at 8:00 am. It is slated to take place at 1100 Allied Drive.
