Family event planned for Planos hearing-impaired community

Members of Plano’s hearing-impaired community, as well as their families, may wish to save space in their Calendars for a special event organized for the local area.

More than 50 exhibitors have been booked for the Deaf Celebration, and those who attend have been advised by the organizers to come ready to both learn and be entertained. It will be a family-friendly occasion, and all ages are welcome.

The display booths that will be set up will be offering information about different supports and opportunities that can be found in the area. These range from arts and crafts to assistive technologies, deaf culture, home businesses, interpreting and memorabilia, and there will also be information shared about different government programs for those who are hearing impaired. Entertainment is also included in the schedule of activities, and it will suitable for both children and adults alike.

The plan for the day includes a start time of 9:00 am, and it will be winding up at 5:00 pm. Print shops in the area can be called upon by the planners of this sort of function to supply it with everything from Banners to registration Forms, Brochures, decorations and many other items that can help to ensure it will be a success.

This celebration of deaf culture will be held on September 29th. It will be taking place at 411 W. Arapaho Road in Richardson.
