Over 400 players are expected to compete on 24 courts during the Mansfield Summer Slam Pickleball Tournament coming in late July. This tournament will be a USAPA Sanctioned Double Elimination.
Registration will begin June 1 as so and end on June 30. Fees will be $39 per player and there will be no age limit. T-Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design are available for $10. Players will get food vouchers for Ted E’s Kitchen for participation days, first server bands and commemorative lapel pins. Current USAPA membership is required.
Men’s and Women’s Singles will take place on Friday, followed by Men’s and Women’s Doubles on Saturday, then Mixed Doubles on Sunday. Tournaments will begin at 7:00 am and end at 9:00 pm.
In the Bracket play, groups of four teams will play at least three games, and winners must win by two points. Brackets will be created according to skill and age.
In Round Robin play, groups of three teams will play three games and winners must win by 2 points.
The primary ball will be yellow Onix Fuse Indoor pickleballs. The secondary color will be orange. The surface will be wood flooring and the nets are temporary.
Mansfield Summer Slam will be Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2nd at the Fieldhouse USA Mansfield, 650 US Highway 287 North Frontage Road.
