Mansfield set to give break to parents

Mansfield will host a Parents Day Out program, giving children a full day of supervised activities while parents take time for themselves. The event is specifically designed for kids ages 3 through 6th grade and will include camp games, creative crafts, and outdoor play throughout the day.

Participants will take part in numerous activities such as catch-and-release fishing at the on-site pond, Anothen Ball (a unique take on Gaga Ball), and nature exploration. There will also be a hide-and-seek game during the day to keep the kids entertained.

While snacks will be provided at the venue, all children are expected to bring a sack lunch, weather-appropriate clothing, a backpack with extra clothes and bug spray, and a refillable water bottle. Experienced staff members at the venue will be on hand to guide the different activities. They will ensure the children have fun while prioritizing safety across the camp area.

The Parents Day Out event offers families a convenient option for weekend childcare while introducing children to the camp setting. Family-focused businesses in the area can use flyer printing at events like this to share information about their upcoming services with parents.

Parents Day Out will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Camp Anothen, 6350 Newt Patterson Road, Mansfield.
