Both artists and musicians are getting ready for the upcoming arts and music festival–Music Alley Festival 2020-coming to Mansfield in mid-October.
The event will feature two contests. One will be a photography contest and the other will be a mixed media contest. Mixed media will include painting, drawing, sculpture and the like. Youth under the age of 18 will have their own division in each contest. Finalists will have their work displayed at the event with special prizes going to the winners.
Winners of competitions such as these often have pictures taken of their work, themselves and their prizes. These are often taken to local Print shop for duplicates to be used in their art portfolios and to be sent to relatives and friends.
Arts and crafters will display and sell their original items in 10 x10 spaces around the venue. Some genres will be paint, sculpture, pottery, woodworking, jewelry, textiles, and Books.
Attendees can join in interactive exhibits.
Local bands, vocalists, dancers and other music performers are invited to participate on four stages in downtown Mansfield. Food trucks will be on hand with all those summer treats for purchase.
Music Alley 2020 is scheduled to take place in Downtown Mansfield, 109 N. Main between Broad and Oak Streets from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on October 17th. Admission will be free.
