Mansfield to get outdoors and get active at festival

The Methodist Mansfield Medical Center and the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Health Festival Methodist in a matter of days.

The event is an opportunity for everyone to get outdoors, get active, and mingle with neighbors and friends. Admission will be free.

Adults will be able to choose from a wide variety of activities. For relaxation, they can opt for a yoga class or attend an ‘Introduction to Mediation’. For a more active option, visitors may want to attend a ‘Walk and Talk’ given by John Phillips. Those looking to really challenge themselves may be interested in a Boot Camp Fitness class, and a class on dance. For those who enjoy a mental challenge, there will be a Scavenger Hunt, while the Balloon Twister will offer a little light-hearted fun.

Information booths will be manned by local non-profit organizations. Many will be having demonstrations. Healthy foods will be available for purchase. Exhibitors will be offering interactive activities and ideas and tips about living healthy.

Kids will be able to get their faces painted and attend a puppet show.

Everyone will want to mark their Calendars for June 4th. Hours for the festival will be 10:00 am until 1 pm. The event will take place at the Katherine Rose Memorial Park at 303 N Walnut Creek, Mansfield. Pets will be welcomed.
