All Mansfield senior citizens 55 years old and older are invited to attend Senior Citizens Day and Fitness Expo coming in mid-August. Over 350 attendees are expected.
Music will be provided by a local live band. Lunch will be served, and there will be bingo. A few lucky guests will receive door prizes.
A Health and Wellness Expo will also be in progress. Local health and wellness businesses will be on hand to answer questions, distribute Business Cards and vend their products and services. Businesses that attend these kinds of events often bring Promotional Products such as Mugs, visors and promotional Pens along with samples of their food, dietary supplements, and lotions.
The center also has daily activities for older crowd. Some of these include exercise, ceramics, bingo, bridge, and singing. Games such as mahjong, cards and dominoes are also available. Meals are served daily and there are numerous day trips, restaurant excursions and parties.
The Senior Lifestyle Program also includes picnics, fitness, shopping, speakers, blood pressure Checks, educational classes, and transportation. Seniors can also get nutrition information and tax counseling. The hours for this program are week days from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Senior Citizens Day and Fitness Expo will occur at the Mansfield Activities Center, 106 S. Wisteria, on Friday, August 16 from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm.
