Kids here in Mansfield will get the opportunity to test their swimming, biking and running skills at the 2020 Red, White and Rockin’ Kids Triathlon at the end of July.
The event will have two distances – one for juniors, ages 6 to 10 years old, and one for seniors, 11 to 15 year olds. Juniors will swim for 130 meters in Hawaiian Falls Lazy River, bike for 3.1 miles on a multi-loop course and finish by running for a ½ mile rounding the bases at Big League Dreams. Seniors will swim for 200 meters, bike for 6.2 miles and run for a mile.
Individual registration will be $55. Juniors can register as teams of two for 32.50. Senior relays will be 3-person teams and registration will be $26.
This will be a USAT event, which means that all participants must be members of the USAT. Those who wish to participate can either join for $10 online or during registration.
Swag will include tech shirts sporting the event’s red, white and blue graphic design, a finisher medal and admission for a day at Hawaiian Falls. There will also be food after the race and great prizes.
The 2020 Red, White and Rockin’ Kids Triathlon is scheduled for Friday, July 31st and will take place at Hawaiian Falls – Mansfield, 490 Heritage Parkway South starting at 7:30 am.
