In October, Mansfield will be full of Halloween spirit.
Haunt the Block in Historic Downtown Mansfield, on October 17 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm will be replete with costume contests, Halloween-themed games, and plenty of tricks-or-treating.
Historic Ghost Tours will also begin on the same day in Historic Downtown Mansfield. The tour will take guests to “haunted” locations around town as a guide relates frightening tales of the city’s past. Tours will take place Thursday and Friday at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 8:00 pm.
The $20 tickets to the Ghost Tours also include a mini-documentary called “Ghost of the Farr Best” that will be shown in the Farr Best Theater. They will also include entrance to the “The Haunting of Bays at 210” at 210 Smith Street.
The Haunting of Bays at 210 will be a walk through a haunted house with rooms containing frightening characters. The house will be open between 6:00 and 8:00 pm on the 17 and 18.
Haunteen will be October 19 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. This event will be targeting teens from the ages of 11 to 15. The evening will begin at the Farr West Theater with a scary movie. Kids will then be ushered through The Haunting of Bays at 210, and go on a walk along a creepy trail.
Towns that have events such as these usually have pictures taken that can be included in its yearly visitor guide brochure printing.
