At this year’s Toys for Tots Celebration, the city of Mansfield also made a contribution by teaming up with Mansfield ISD to create and deliver a campaign that ensured all toys and donations collected at this year’s events made it into the hands of families in the Mansfield ISD.
Kimberly Cantu, the Mansfield ISD Superintendent, was pleased with how the event turned out. She stated that:
“This is MISD’s 11th year to participate in Toys for Tots and every year I am blown away by the generosity of our community. This year, we were able to collect more than 16,000 toys and $20,000.”
The toy collection event happened on November 30, and also featured a sledding hill, photographs with Santa, food, games, and live performances from students. Promotional Products such as stuffed animals are among the goods that could be donated as gifts at such drives.
One of the new features at this year’s event was the Engineering the Holidays. This was a fun and interactive area that featured STEM-related activities such as using a 3D printer to make ornaments, putting together circuits to create Holiday Cards, and crafting snowball launchers. Engineering the Holidays was possible thanks to sponsorship from Mouser Electronics.
