Fat Daddy’s Sports and Spirits Café will be sponsoring the Mansfield Area Marines Fourth Annual Charity Golf tournament, the organization’s main fundraising event of the year, in just a few days.
Proceeds from this event will go to support the area’s active and inactive Marines, their families, and local charities.
Individuals may sign up for the tournament. The $125 fee will include a gift bag, two meals, greens fees, a cart, a tournament ball cap and chipping, long drives, and putting contests. It will also admit the golfer to a concert that will be given at the end of the day. Foursomes are welcome, with fees set at $500. Players’ packs will run $20 and include one throw, two mulligans, and a ladies’ tee.
During the event, AR-15s will be auctioned off in the silent auction. Participants can buy a chance to win a Harley-Davison. There will be food, drinks, and live music during the afternoon.
Mansfield’s active and ex-marines may want to have some Flyers made to distribute at their local VFWs and other veteran organizations.
Golfers will tee off at noon this Friday, July 22, at the Southern Oaks Golf Club, 13765 Southern Oaks Drive, Burleson, Texas. Volunteers are still needed in order to make this event the success it has been over the last few years.
