Food festival brings flavor to Mansfield area

Foodies will want to maintain an open calendar next month, as a food festival displaying the best of Mansfield’s food vendors is coming to town.

The Taste of Black Mansfield Food Truck Festival will provide Mansfield residents with an opportunity to support Black-owned businesses and food trucks while discovering savory foods. Food truck owners and vendors will be out in force, and guests are encouraged to arrive with an empty stomach and an open mind, perhaps trying something they have never had before.

The event, planned by the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, aims to provide a feast for the senses and taste buds. Attendees will support a quality cause while trying food from several vendors and food trucks at the event. Printing services offer a way to produce and display Menus for food festivals like this.

Money raised at the event will help raise the profile of Black-owned restaurants and food trucks while making a difference in the Mansfield community. The event will be held outdoors, and interested parties are encouraged to check the weather before leaving home to ensure a comfortable experience.

The food truck festival will be held at the Vernon Newsom Stadium on Saturday, June 1, with the dining starting at 11:30 AM and continuing until 4:00 PM. Tickets are available online, starting at $100 per attendee.
