To help the younger set keep safe this spring, the Mansfield Park & Recreation and the Police and Mansfield departments will once again be presenting a Bike Rodeo. This year, it will be presented in conjunction with ‘A Night on the Town’.
The rodeo segment of the festivities will be reserved for children between the ages of six and twelve. This will be a bicycle skill event designed to help cycling newbies learn and develop their riding skills and give them a little practice time in a safe, non-competitive environment. To capture children’s elation at proudly riding their bikes, parents will surely want to bring their cameras for pictures to take for possible later poster printing.
Participants will receive free bike safety helmets. Also onsite will be an area for Bike Safety Checks. The whole family can enjoy the K9 demonstrations. After the rodeo, families can don their free T-Shirts and go on the Family Bike Ride during the Night on the Town. When they return, they can enjoy yet another activity in the form of a round of ‘putt-putt’ golf. The event will be free to enter.
This fun is scheduled for April 25 at the Katherine Rose Memorial Park. The rodeo will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the Night on the Town following from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts Get a Free Quote for Checks
