Angel Tree adoptions available in Mansfield area

The Salvation Army of North Texas is now officially starting the festive period by opening adoptions for people in areas such as Mansfield who would like to help more economically disadvantaged people.

Angel Tree is a high-profile holiday tradition that helps to spread love to less fortunate people throughout the Christmas period. Each year, the North Texas program, which features the biggest Angel Tree in the world, spreads seasonal cheer to throughout areas such as Mansfield. The Salvation Army has continued to assist those in need for over 44 years by giving Christmas gifts supplied by generous contributors to be put under the tree.

Major Dawn McFarland, the commander of the North Texas division of The Salvation Army, commented to say:
“The generosity of the public through Angel Tree adoptions, financial donations and our many other Christmas programs ensures we can meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of North Texans year-round.”

Public assistance throughout the holiday season is critical to ensuring that The Salvation Army is able to offer such services all year. The Salvation Army is inviting the communities of North Texas such as Mansfield to get behind the initiative and to make the holiday season more gratifying by adopting one of the Angels or giving a donation as calls for assistance increase. Promotional Products such as shirts could be used as donations.

Donors may sponsor an Angel by donating online, or in person at participating retail locations such as Walmart.
