Mansfield Activities Center has a couple of family-oriented events lined up for November.
On Friday, November 13, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, the center is holding a training session for families and friends to learn how to play pickleball. All ages from eight and older and at all skill levels are welcome. Registration fee for the eight- through twelve-year-olds will be $3 and the fee for the older players will be $5. The center has a limited supply of equipment that can be used.
Tuesday, November 24, the center will have two sessions of Family Nerf Night. Friends and family will team up to tackle barriers and obstacles set up around the gym. The center will provide the dart bullets but guests must bring their own Nerf blasters. Kids as young as two years old are invited to play. Kids 12 and under must have an adult sign up to play also. Eye protection is advised.
Preregistration is required and will be $5 per player. These sessions are for family fun only. One session will be from 5:00 until 6:30 pm, and the other will be from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm.
Sports businesses such Nerf often have pictures taken at local events such as this that can be sent to local Print shops to be included in their advertising campaigns.
