Lewisville workshop to help singer-songwriters excel

American singer-songwriter Bob Livingston will hold a singer-songwriter workshop at the Lewisville Grand Theater next month for anyone wishing to hone their skills.

Hailing from San Antonio, Livingston is a well-known singer-songwriter, bass player, and guitarist who played a prominent role in the progressive country, outlaw country, and Cosmic Cowboy movements that arose in the 1970s. The workshop will take place in anticipation of The Black Box Songwriter Series, which brings together both novice musicians and veterans in an intimate setting at the Black Box Theater. Livingston will be the headliner at the Black Box Songwriter concert in May.

The workshop will feature one main collaborative activity in which attendees, led by Livingston, will work together to create an original song. There will also be other activities in which breakout groups will try their hands at different songwriting prompts, and a question-and-answer session will conclude the event. Ticket purchases will also include lunch and admission to the Black Box Songwriter Series: Bob Livingston concert.

Workshops like this are often advertised in community spaces such as libraries where Flyers can be hung up. Such Flyers can be printed in bulk at area Print shops specializing in flyer printing.

The workshop is scheduled for May 21 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Lewisville Grand Theater is located on 100 North Charles Street. Tickets can be purchased for $55.
