Lewisville festival announces design winner

The winning logo design for this year's 2026 ColorPalooza: A Celebration of Spring has been announced, and it is a student from LHS Killough named Greidy Marisol Flores Mejia.

At a City Council meeting, her winning logo was displayed. Playful lettering that spells out "ColorPalooza" with playful paint splashed to convey excitement and energy are elements of the logo. The curving contours give the logo a lively, inviting air, while the paintbrush symbolizes art and creativity. Logo design is an important part of branding an event.

According to Flores Mejia, she wanted to highlight self-expression and creativity to demonstrate how ColorPalooza unites people. She claimed, her logo is vibrant and happy which is an accurate representation of the event. Her teacher told her of the logo competition.

She chose to compete because she wanted to show the community her talent and because she loves art and designs. According to her, this competition is a fantastic method to convey the vibrant, welcoming, and vibrant nature of Lewisville.

Flores Mejia won a $1,500 college scholarship after winning the logo competition.
