This November, Sika Corporation will hold the FRP Training School in Lewisville for anyone in the construction or industrial manufacturing industries.
Sika Corporation is a multinational specialty chemical company that supplies the automotive, industrial manufacturing, and construction markets with specialty products. The FRP (fiber reinforced polymer) training will revolve around techniques and methods used to structurally strengthen masonry and concrete structures.
This training is designed to help anyone in the related fields of construction, industrial engineering, and specialty manufacturing hone their skills in FRP and FRCM (fiber reinforced cementitious matrix) technology.
The hands-on course will explore why structures need to be strengthened and what types of FRP strengthening solutions exist, as well as what the typical applications and industry guidelines are for the successful use of such materials. Attendees will also learn the surface prep requirements, quality control, and best practices for FRP and FRCM installation.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Proper PPE will also be provided by the hosts.

The FRP Training is scheduled for November 9 from 8:00am to 3:30pm. It will be held at 2075 Midway Road, Suite 100. There is no cost to attend this training, although attendees are encouraged to preregister.
