Next month, the Lewisville Western Days will be in town. This two-day festival is filled with music, food, vendors, and good old-fashioned cowboy fun.
The festival celebrates the Western heritage and past of Lewisville, reliving memories of the Old Town of Lewisville. Attendance in the past has reached 20,000 to 30,000 over the course of the event’s two days. There will be live music on five different stages, a tamale-eating contest, artisan vendors, food trucks, and plenty of Western-themed activities for the whole family to enjoy.
For musical entertainment, there will be bands and musicians such as The Buffalo Ruckus, Jack Ingram, Love & Chaos, and The Powell Brothers. Activities will include The Padrino Foods World Tamale Eating Championship, a DIY tie-dye station, children’s activities, and a dunk station. The children’s activities will feature a petting zoo and pony rides, the Legend of Texas Gunfighters, Western Village, indigenous dance performances, and the Kid Kountry Playground.
Themed festivals like this will often have a venue decorated with grand Banners adding ambiance to the event. Organizers can receive help with banner printing at local Print shops offering such services.
The Lewisville Western Days will take place on September 27 and September 28. The festival will be located in the historic Old Town Lewisville along Church and Main Street. Admission is free, except for after 6:00 pm, which then will be $15.
