The Kindred Creatives Art and Literary Press will present the Texas Art and Literary Festival in Lewisville in July for all book and art enthusiasts.
A local bookstore and creative collective market run by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color), the Kindred Creative Art and Literary Press has a diverse selection of curated works and art. Its mission is to promote a love of literacy and creativity, as well as provide a space for people to share their creative arts and skills.
The Texas Art and Literary Festival will invite all authors, publishers, illustrators, and other literary fans and professionals to join in festivities and exhibitions that will amplify the creative voice. The festival will explore topics such as identity, culture, love, resilience, and power structures through visual images and the written word. There will be workshops and panels for attendees to engage in, as well as a book fair featuring a wide range of authors, artists, and publishing companies.
The main festival will be held over two days, but there will also be an optional opening reception and fundraiser the day before, which will be a ticketed affair. Print shops are often called upon to produce promotional materials for such events.
The festival is scheduled for July 9 and July 10, with the opening reception on July 8. It will take place at the Music City Mall Lewisville on 2401 South Stemmons Freeway.
