Lewisville invites people to take a stroll

A full day of events is planned in Lewisville to celebrate the holiday season.

The Old Town Holiday Stroll features the city’s Christmas Parade, a gingerbread competition, a breakfast with Santa, animal adoptions, and a number of concerts and other musical performances.

The Ultimate Gingerbread Competition is sponsored by Loves Residential Realty, and has three categories in which people can vote: People’s Choice, Humorous, and Best in Show. The gingerbread creations will be on display from noon until 3:00 pm, and winners will be named at 5:30 pm, at the tree lighting ceremony.

The breakfast with Santa is an event of the Lewisville Morning Rotary Club, and features pancakes, as well as a chance for people to have their photos taken with Santa. The breakfast kicks off at 8:00 am and runs through noon, at a cost of $5 for adults, and $3 for children under 12. The Jolly Old Elf himself will be there for photos from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.

The animal adoption event known as Santa Paws Village is open from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on Main Street. Banner printing can be used to create festive decorations for events like this.

The Holiday Stroll is scheduled from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm on December 7 in Old Town Lewisville, with the parade rolling at 3:00 pm. Details of the many events and their times are on the city’s website.
