Lewisville will hold the Foundations of Business Series: Branding Your Business for entrepreneurs to learn several strategies to help them start or grow their business, co-hosted by two female entrepreneurs.
Duncan is CEO of Duncan Salons20, a family-owned small business that serves as a full service, multicultural hair salon. She has also authored two eBooks about business-related topics, one called The CEO Startup and the other called Business & Branding 101. Carr is an educator, author, and founded Kindred Creatives Art and Literary Press (ALP), a marketplace, bookstore, and creative space. Carr also is a dedicated blogger at the blog Bougie Black Blogger and teaches about this aspect of business.
The class will begin with a networking session where attendees can mix and mingle with their peers, which may bring up opportunities for exchanging Business Cards as well. After that, the actual discussion of how to grow a business by utilizing branding techniques will begin. Organizers encourage attendees to bring a laptop with them if they have one, or any other digital device for notetaking.
The Foundations of Business Series: Branding Your Business workshop is scheduled for January 19 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The workshop will take place at Kindred Creatives ALP, located at 2401 South Stemmons Freeway, Number 2130. The event is $10 to attend.
